about

I moved from Ipswich to London in 1983 and assembled the various bits of equipment I had collected in one of the attic rooms of my parents' house. These recordings show the early stages of music and noise construction I was going through as well as some more emotional tracks that would never otherwise have been released. All of the tracks were either recorded direct to cassette or first onto a Tascam 246 Portastudio, then mixed onto cassette.

During this period (1984-1987), I was also recording a lot with Stephen Jarvis as Nagamatzu, and you can find the results of those recordings elsewhere via the Motorcade Records website or Josh Cheon's Dark Entries label.
